This linen-bound copy of the constitution was especially crafted for Queen Beatrix’ coronation on April 30th, 1980. The front cover shows the royal coat of arms. Before the start of the coronation ceremony the book was placed on the so-called ‘credence table’, together with the crown, scepter and the globus cruciger, also known as ‘the orb and cross’.
This particular copy was bound in parchment and is an official state document.
